Picture Postcards from Africa
These works are highly textured, with multiple layers, and are tricky to photograph. I’ve done my best to represent them as accurately as possible.

My Art-Cards or ‘Picture Postcards’ have developed over time and are a combination of my love of Africa; my love of being ‘connected’ through letter-writing and of gift-giving.
Made on hardboard, the artwork is highly textured and although has the appearance of ceramic, is finished with a resin, making them robust and easy to transport or post. The stamps are small prints from some of my previous artworks.
I’ve left space for a message to be written, if the card’s to be a gift; and I sometimes write my own message to those who buy these cards directly from my studio when requested. And then framing is easy: simply secure the art-card by attaching it directly onto the glass within a frame using adhesive tape or glue.
